Tour Plan

Day 1 : Arrival to Tangier – Chefchaouen

In the first day of your 10 days morocco holiday from Tangier. We pick you up from your accommodation, the airport or the port in Tangier. Also known as “the bride of the north”. The city is located northwest where the Mediterranean Sea meets the Atlantic Ocean off Cape Spartel. Firstly, we will explore the beautiful city and visit the cave of Hercules and the Cape Spartel. Free time for lunch. Then we drive inland to Chefchaouen, by passing through the city of Tetouan and the Rif mountains. Stops will be made for panoramic views. Finally, we drop you off at your accommodation. Overnight stay in a hotel in Chefchaouen.

Day 2 : Sightseeing Chefchaouen the blue city

After breakfast, the 10 days morocco holiday continues to explore Chefchaouen the blue city. Also known as Achaoun, which means horns in Berber. The city is located in the Rif mountains northwest Morocco. It is famous for its buildings and alleyways painted in blue and white. Firstly, we will stroll in its charming old Medina, which has so many beautiful authentic blue doors. Free time for lunch. In the afternoon you can hike to the Spanish mosque, located on a high ground. Where you can see the spectacular view of the whole blue city. Overnight stay in the same hotel.

Day 3 : Chefchaouen – the Roman ruins of Volubilis – Meknes – Fes

After breakfast, feel free to wander in the beautiful alleyways of the blue city Chefchaouen. Then we drive to visit the ancient Roman ruins Volubilis. It is well preserved, as it is recognized as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. It has many beautiful mosaics scattered here and there, along with beautiful ancient pillars and archways. After strolling in the ruins, we drive 30 km to visit one of the imperial cities, Meknes the Ismaili capital. In which we visit Bab Al-Mansour, Sahrij Souani basin, the Royal stables, the granary and the Moulay Ismail Mausoleum. Then we head to Fes. Overnight stay in a riad

Day 4 : guided tour sightseeing Fes

We pick you from your accommodation in Fes after breakfast, to explore the city of Fes. The city is considered one of the imperial cities, besides being the cultural and religious center of Morocco.

We start the day by visiting the Royal Palace gate. Then the well preserved medieval Medina, that is listed as a World Heritage Site by the UNESCO. The Blue gate or Bab Boujloud is the entrance of the old Medina. You will enter the Medina with a local guide. To visit The Medrasa Bouanania, the Najjarine fountain, the Tanneries and finally the Quaraouin mosque and university – The oldest university in the world. After that we leave the Medina to visit the Jewish quarter “the Mellah”. Then we drive to an ancient fortress, for panoramic views of the Medina and the city of Fes. Then return to your riad.

Day 5 : Fes – Ifrane – Cedars forest- Midelt – Ziz valley – Merzouga Sahara

After breakfast, the 10 days Morocco holiday continues south through Imouzzer. To visit Ifrane, famous for its low temperature, snow and also the alpine-style architecture houses. No wonder it is called the Switzerland of Morocco. Then we continue to cedars forest, where the Barbary macaques lives. Feel free to feed them while wandering in the forest. Later, we continue to Midelt, where we will have a free time for lunch. Then we drive through the Tizi-n-Tilghmt pass, and along the Ziz valley, with stops for panoramic views.

In the afternoon we reach the Sahara desert of Merzouga. Where you switch to camels and cross the sandy desert, with a stop on top of a high dune to enjoy the sunset. Then continue to the camp which is a combination between the traditional tents of nomads and the luxury a hotel has. Where you can enjoy the Berber drums music while dancing around the campfire, under vast open sky of stars. Accommodation in place.

Day 6 : Explore Merzouga region – Nomads – Khamlia – Merzouga lake – Erg Chebbi – palm grove

After breakfast, head to the renowned Ait Ben Haddou, an ancient kasbah and UNESCO World Heritage site. This village, with its striking clay architecture, has bAfter breakfast, we dedicate the day to explore the region of Merzouga. The area has so many incredible sites, from sand dunes, wild lake, mines, fossils areas, to fabulous oases. Which are ideal places for so many outdoor activities. We start our journey in Merzouga, by driving off-road to visit an ancient eyeliner mine. Then we pay the nomads a visit in their handmade woven tent. And learn how they live while drinking a Berber tea.een the backdrop for many famous films. Wander the narrow alleys, learn about its history, and take in the breathtaking views over the surrounding valley.

Our next destination is the Khamlia village, where you can enjoy the Gnaoua music and dancing performances. Its inhabitants are originating from sub-Saharan countries like Mali, Sudan and Niger. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. After that we take a stroll in palm trees grove. Then drive a few kilometres to see the wild lake of Merzouga, also called the lake of flamingos. Finally, return to Merzouga. Dinner and overnight In a hotel.

Day 7 : Merzouga Sahara – Rissani – Erfoud – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley

Wake up early in the morning is a must do, in order to contemplate the beautiful sunrise. Free time for breakfast. Then we leave the desert to visit Rissani town, the ancient capital of Tafilalet. Rissani still a major trading center in the region. With a large souk lively on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays. After a stroll in Rissani souk, we continue to Erfoud, where we visit one of the workshops of fossilized marble.

Then we drive through Touroug and Tinjdad palm groves to reach the Todra Gorges. The course of Todra river has carved out a grand canyon through the mountains. This high red cliff-sided canyon is an ideal place for rock climbers. Feel free to wander in the gorges and appreciate the beauty of the landscape. Free time for lunch in a restaurant. Then we continue to the Dades valley through Boumalne Dades. Inevitable stops at the “monkey fingers” rock formation, and on a spot atop a mountain overlooking the Dades valley. Dinner and overnight in a hotel.

Day 8 : Dades Valley – Roses Valley – Palm Groves of Skoura – Ouarzazate Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah- Telouet – High Atlas Mountains – Marrakech

After breakfast, we continue our trip to Kalaa Magouna to visit the Rose valley. A Rose Festival is held annually in May. Where the locals offer their rose products, from perfumes, rose water, oil, to cosmetic products. We then drive through the palm groves of Skoura and visit the Kasbah of Amredhyle. Then we reach Ouarzazate, where we visit the studios in which famous movies were shot. And also visit the Taourirt Kasbah.

Then we depart to visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. A fortified village recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Furthermore, the Kasbah has appeared in many movies including : Gladiator, Alexander, The Mummy…etc. And TV series including Game Of Thrones. After that we visit the Telouet Kasbah. Then we continue to Marrakesh by going through the Tizi-N-Tichka pass and the High Atlas Mountains. Stops will be nade for lunch, and to take pictures at interesting spots. Overnight stay in a Riad in Marrakesh.

Day 9 : Guided tour sightseeing Marrakesh

After a warm breakfast, we will be exploring the Highlights of Marrakesh with a local guide. The city is considered one of the imperial cities in Morocco. The visit includes : the Bahia Palace, Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Quranic mosque. And stroll in the largest traditional souk in Morocco. Free time for lunch near the Jemaa El-Fna square. Later on, you visit the Koutoubia mosque the largest in Marrakesh, and the Majorelle garden. Transfer to your accommodation. Feel free to wander in Jemaa El-Fna square on your own.

Day 10: Casablanca airport

After breakfast, we pick you up from your accommodation in Marrakesh. Depending on your flight time, we drive to Casablanca, we might possibly visit the Hassan II mosque if we got enough time. Then drop you off at the airport. End of your 10 days Morocco holiday from Tangier.
