We’ll pick you up from the airport or your accommodation in Casablanca, the economic hub and largest city in Morocco. Begin with a visit to the stunning Hassan II Mosque, the largest mosque in Morocco and one of the most magnificent in the world, set on a promontory overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Enjoy free time for lunch, then explore Casablanca’s sights, including a stroll along the lively Corniche, with its cafes, beaches, and scenic ocean views. Settle in for an overnight stay in a comfortable hotel.
After breakfast, we journey to Rabat, Morocco’s capital and a city of elegant gardens, grand monuments, and historic sites. Visit the impressive Hassan Tower, an unfinished minaret that stands as a symbol of the city, and the Mausoleum of Mohammed V, a beautiful marble structure housing the tombs of the royal family. Explore the Oudayas Kasbah, a peaceful fortress with views over the Bou Regreg River, and stroll through its Andalusian Gardens. Overnight in Rabat.
Today, we drive to Meknes, one of Morocco’s imperial cities, known for its grand architecture and historic significance. Visit the monumental Bab Mansour gate, with its intricate mosaics and grand arches. Continue to the Mausoleum of Moulay Ismail, the resting place of the sultan who founded Meknes. Enjoy free time to wander through the Medina and the bustling El Hedim Square, where you can observe local artisans and sample Moroccan street food. After breakfast, head towards Fes, one of Morocco's most captivating cities, filled with history, culture, and traditional Moroccan charm. En route, you may stop to explore the Roman ruins of Volubilis, an ancient city known for its well-preserved mosaics and impressive columns. Arriving in Fes, you'll have time to relax and prepare for the following day of exploration. Overnight stay in a traditional riad.
Today, immerse yourself in the medieval atmosphere of Fes, starting with a guided tour of the Fes el Bali (Old Medina), a UNESCO World Heritage site. Wander through winding alleys lined with markets, visit the Al Quaraouiyine University, one of the oldest universities in the world, and explore the colorful tanneries. Depart Fes and travel south towards Erfoud, passing through the breathtaking landscapes of the Middle Atlas mountains. Enjoy scenic stops in cedar forests, where you may spot friendly Barbary macaques, and traditional Berber villages like Ifrane, known as "the Switzerland of Morocco." In the morning, head deeper into the Sahara Desert towards Merzouga. Upon arrival, embark on a memorable camel trek across the stunning dunes of Erg Chebbi. As the sun sets, the sands change to a mesmerizing shade of gold. Arrive at a desert camp, where you'll experience Berber hospitality, enjoy local music, and dine under a canopy of stars. Rise early to watch the sunrise over the dunes, then return to Merzouga by camel. After breakfast, travel through the rugged landscapes of the Draa Valley towards the stunning Dades Gorge, passing ancient kasbahs and villages along the way.
